The higher end Pentium 4s have dropped significantly over the past two weeks so we're finally able to recommend some of the higher speed processors. If you're going for a Pentium 4 and don't want to wait for the soon to be released 0.13-micron Northwood based processors then the 1.9GHz Pentium 4 is definitely more attractive now that it's under $300. If you're on a smaller budget and you still insist on going Pentium 4 then the 1.6GHz processor still gives you the best bang for your buck.
For Socket-370 motherboard owners looking for an upgrade, the Pentium III 866 is even more attractive now at $122.
