The Athlon XPs are still the most attractive CPUs to purchase today; they clearly outperform the Pentium 4 and are very affordable. Our pick for the week hasn't changed since last time; the Athlon XP 1600+ is the best overall value now at $121 and it has quite a bit of overclocking potential.
Our choice for the lower end of the guide is still the Athlon 950MHz which hasn't changed in price since two weeks ago.
