Compared to our last edition of price guide, AMD prices did not fluctuate very much this week. All but 4 of the AMD processors tracked on our price guide experienced price drops this week, however the price decreases ranged from $1 to $15. As usual, the highest price drop occurred in AMD's fastest processor: the Athlon XP 2000+. Although the chip price only fell $15 this week, when combined with the last price decrease of $35 the processor has fallen enough in price to gain a recommended buy status. The Duron 1.2GHz also fell enough this week to gain our low-end AMD pick this issue.
Added to our AMD table this week was the Duron 1.3GHz, debuting at a price of $90.
