The release of the AMD Athlon XP 1900+ hasn't changed the sweet spot in terms of Athlon XP processors; the XP 1600+ still offers the most bang for the buck as it has a good deal of overclocking potential and can be had for a relatively cheap price.
With the release of faster Duron processors you can now purchase a Duron 1GHz CPU for under $70. Who would've expected that we'd eventually be able to buy "low-cost" 1GHz CPUs for $64.
